Keep Your Love On
God calls us to love one another. Sounds easy, right? Well, not always.
Sometimes it can be challenging to love others the way God calls us to. Especially when we have felt like a wrong has been done to us. I had to walk through some of those pains as I read this book. This book helped me to process what I needed to, to let go of what I needed to, and to let God’s love work and be shown through me.
If you feel like you need God to help you walk in His love, this is a great book for you.
Standout from book:
We cannot control someone else – we can only control ourselves.
Boundaries
As we are called to love one another, sometimes there can be matters that get blurred in this. What do I mean by that? We seek to love others that sometimes boundaries get crossed “in the name of love.”
This can become dangerous. We can hurt our relationships and hurt ourselves by not having healthy boundaries implemented. This book helped me to process where unhealthy boundaries were and how to navigate those relationships to establish healthy boundaries.
Standout from book:
Appropriate boundaries help us to increase our ability to care about others.
Find Your People
This is one of my most recent reads, and I’m telling you, go get this book!
I was walking through a season of feeling like I didn’t know who my people were. Trying to connect with people and feeling like it didn’t get anywhere at times. With that, getting frustrated.
I appreciate Jennie’s honesty in this book, helping me to feel understood. There are many key applications on how to be intentional to find and build your community. This book will surely help you find your people.
Standout:
To find your safe people you have to risk the possibility of being hurt by the unsafe ones.
