The Way God Sees Me
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 139:13-14
The Lord formed us and made us exactly as we are. We have to see ourselves this way. He knit us, forming us with attention and detail. And we are to praise Him for the way He made us. Pray that God helps you to see yourself the way He does.
Ask – How does God see me?
Love Yourself
… Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:39
God commands us to love others. He commands us to love others the way we love ourselves. Wow! We have to learn to love ourselves. To see ourselves the way God does, to care for ourselves, and to walk freely. As we learn to better love ourselves we can better love others. We can see others the way God does, we can care for others well, and help others walk in their freedom.
We need to be careful here. We should not become self-righteous or view ourselves as higher than others in the process of loving ourselves. God calls us to be humble, seeing ourselves and others and equally.
Ask – How can I love myself better? How can I love others better?
The Heart
… The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:7
God is far more concerned about our hearts and our character. As we grow in security, may we not get consumed by how we look on the outside. May we make sure that our hearts, the inside of us, are beautiful. This internal will radiate out externally. (Proverbs 31:30 – beauty is fleeting)

New Creation
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
God has made us new. Praise! We need to let go of who we once were. Again, seeing ourselves the way God does. Each day, we are to be transforming and becoming more like Jesus. So as the Holy Spirit works in you, insecurity flees. Security, fullness, and wholeness is within because Jesus is within us.
