The past 5 years I have hopped from different homes and apartments that did not have a lot of space. I had to figure out how to store all my items, with the limited space I had. From college dorms to houses, to apartments – I had to make it work. Today I am sharing what I have implemented to help me save space.
1. Declutter
The reality is that there’s probably not enough space to hold everything you have. But it’s ok. Realize what is worth holding onto and what is not. In this smaller space, every bit of space is precious. It is worth it to utilize that space with items you actually use.
2. Bins & Baskets
This is one of the best ways to store and organize your items. We have various bins in every room in our home. A great way to organize smaller items into one area and have a nice cohesive look. Checkout my blog post on some of the best affordable bins – Link

3. Furniture with Storage
Furniture with storage is such a big help. You can purchase a standard piece of furniture or one that is functional with additional storage space. Check out some of these pieces below.

4. Shelves
Find empty space on your wall where additional shelving can be added to store items and make more space. Make sure your community allows it, and patch up those walls when you move out.
