The heart of the home – your kitchen. Probably the space you’ll spend a lot of time in and the space where a lot is done. But we have one problem. Your kitchen is small. Trust me, I get it. I have lived in multiple homes where sometimes it feels like there is not enough space to store everything. But you can! You just have to be creative and strategic. Here are some of my tips on how to store and organize whatever you need in a small kitchen.
Pot Lid Organizers
Cabinet Door Organizer
Place your Tupperware lids, Ziploc bags, aluminum foil roll, and cleaning supplies here to save space
Bins
Can use to organize boxed, bagged or canned goods in cabinets or pantry
Hooks
Great for hanging aprons, oven mitts, etc.
Lazy Susan
An easy way to reach for what you need – just spin it around. We use this under our sink to hold cleaning items. Also great to hold cooking oils, spices, drinks, and more.
Pots & Pan Organizer
Pots and pans can become hard to keep stacked and in good order. An organizer rack will help keep them well… organized. Another tip is to store them under your oven or in your oven (when not in use of course). I also recommend pan protectors to keep your pans in good condition and to better protect them when stored away.
Spice Rack
Whether you cook a lot or a little, spices are a big part of cooking and kitchens. Unfortunately, they can be hard to keep organized. Get you a spice rack to help with that.
Shelf Rack
Make room in your cabinet shelf with a stackable shelf rack. These help to divide and create more space to store items.
Above Kitchen Cabinets
Typically there will be some open space between your ceiling and cabinet. This is a great place to store items that aren’t reached for often. Check the cute bins below for some ideas.
Oven
What do I mean by oven? When not in use, use it to store items. For the most part, most stoves aren’t see-through, so you won’t even notice them in the oven. Just make sure to remove whatever is in there when you’re ready to use the oven.
